DAVID A. ZDURNE gained admission to the State Bar of Michigan in May 2005 and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Zdurne graduated in 1999 from Michigan State University College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering and received a Juris Doctorate Degree from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in May 2004.
Mr. Zdurne has four years of Intellectual Property experience prior to becoming a registered Patent Attorney. While attending Law School, Mr. Zdurne transitioned from an intern to a full time clerk at an Engineering company where he assisted the Patent Counsel in the preparation and registration of intellectual property rights, with a particular emphasis in automotive patents directed at structural members, such as, space frames, bumpers, door beams, and truck beds. Prior to Law School, Mr. Zdurne participated in the development of automotive lubricating oils for major OEMs.
As an associate at Dobrusin & Thennisch, Mr. Zdurne concentrates his practice in the preparation and prosecution of patents before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the International Examining Agencies through the Patent Cooperation Treaty. More recently, Mr. Zdurne has been involved in assisting in the preparation of legal opinions regarding patent validity and infringement.
