ERIC R. KURTYCZ is currently registered before the State Bar of Michigan, the Federal District Court and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Mr. Kurtycz has a J.D. from Michigan State University College of Law.

Other academic degrees/certifications include: B.S. in Information Systems from Oakland University, a M.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Wayne State University, a MBA in Finance from Oakland University, and a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Mr. Kurtycz joined Dobrusin & Thennisch PC in 2006. Mr. Kurtycz has almost 20 years of Automotive Industry experience, working in a range of Engineering and Management roles for both OEM and Tier companies which included: Ford Motor Company, Lear Corporation, and Dow Automotive. As an inventor, he has seven issued patents, primarily in the field of structural seat components and instrument panels.

Currently, he is involved in preparing and prosecuting patent and trademark applications with the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, performing prior art searches and writing patentability opinions, formulating freedom to operate opinions, due diligence contract reviews, and other intellectual property matters.
